Return Protection Policy:
All individual clothing drops, apparel bundles, and Mystery Boxes are item-inventoried and weight-logged at our Burnley hub prior to courier dispatch. For 14-day change-of-mind returns, bundles and Mystery Boxes must be returned complete — we don't accept partial returns on these. This doesn't affect your separate statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.

1. Nature of Goods
Back On Sale supplies a mixture of brand-new retail apparel clothing drops, overstock lines, and curated liquidation parcels. Because items are sourced through clear-out channels, some outer packaging may be distressed, but the items themselves are verified for authentic quality before being listed.
2. Returns & Cancellations (14-Day Window)
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your parcel, without needing to give a reason. Once you've told us you're cancelling, you then have a further 14 days to return the item to us. You're welcome to inspect and try items the way you would in a physical shop — for example trying on clothing — before deciding whether to keep them. If an item comes back showing signs of use beyond what's reasonably needed to check it (for example visible wear, marks, or damage), we may deduct an amount from your refund to reflect the reduction in value. Once we receive your return, we'll refund you within 14 days, including standard delivery costs where applicable. The customer is responsible for return postage costs unless an item is faulty or not as described.
3. Special Rules for Mystery Boxes & Bundles
If your purchase consisted of a curated Mystery Box or multi-item clothing bundle, the entire box must be returned complete as part of a 14-day change-of-mind cancellation.
- We do not accept partial returns (you cannot keep 2 items and return the rest) under the 14-day cancellation right.
- We do not offer individual item swaps or size exchanges for components inside a mystery selection.
- If a returned box does not match our recorded dispatch weight or inventory logs, we will contact you to resolve it before processing your refund, and may deduct the value of any missing items.
This does not affect your separate right to a refund, repair or replacement if an item you received is faulty or not as described — see section 4.
4. Faulty Goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if an item arrives faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you're entitled to a full refund, repair or replacement — separately from, and in addition to, the 14-day change-of-mind period above.
- Short-term right to reject: within 30 days of receiving the item, you can reject it for a full refund.
- Within 6 months: if a fault appears, we'll repair or replace it — and it's on us to show the fault wasn't there when you bought it, not the other way around.
- Beyond 6 months: you may still have a claim for up to 6 years, though the burden shifts to you to show the fault existed at the time of purchase.
Please contact us at info@backonsale.co.uk with clear photos of the fault so we can sort this out quickly — this helps us process your claim fast, but doesn't limit the rights above.
5. Local Delivery Drop-offs
Free delivery is automatically applied at checkout to eligible local postcodes. We run these drops on fixed schedules. If our driver cannot securely deliver or clear the package on the first drop-off attempt, the parcel will be re-attempted the next day. If it's inconvenient you should contact us with update.
